Melanie Pritchard is a nationally recognized expert on pro-life and other life-issues apologetics. She is an author, speaker, and blogger on Catholic topics. She frequently presents seminars on sexual ethics and the Theology of the Body.
Melanie earned both a B.A. and an M.A. Education (curriculum and Instruction) at Arizona State University. She has taught high school English and has also served as an adjunct professor of education at Arizona State University, as well as an assistant headmaster at a college preparatory academy. She was the Education Director for Life Educational Corporation, speaking on behalf of Arizona Right to Life for four years and chairing the annual Arizona March and Rally For Life. She was also a contributor and editor to the pro-life training manual, Abortion: Inside the Choice.
She currently directs the Vera Bella Catholic Girls’ Virtue Formation Program, which she established in 2013 and contributes a weekly blog for LifeSiteNews.com.
In addition, Melanie is a regular speaker for the Diocese of Phoenix’s God’s Plan for a Joy-filled Marriage Program and serves as a committee member of the Diocese of Phoenix’s Chaste Living Education Committee, which oversees the Catholic Academy for Life Leadership (C.A.L.L.). She also served for five years on the board of Phoenix Natural Family Planning.
Over the past fifteen years, Melanie has spoken to a combined audience of over 50,000 people at various seminars and conferences, as well as teaching at the Envoy Institute’s Catholic Apologetics Summer Camps, Steubenville Youth and Young Adult Conferences, National Family Conferences, and several Religious Freedom Rallies.
In 2010, The Catholic Physicians Guild of Phoenix honored Melanie with its prestigious “Evangelium Vitae” award, and in 2007, the Phoenix Business Journal bestowed its “The 40 Most Successful People Under 40 Award” on her.
Melanie has appeared in two national television commercials that promoted the value of life and the sanctity of marriage and has been a guest on EWTN’s “Life on the Rock” Program.
